Hotel Leiden and Restaurant Het Haagsche Schouw boast a centuries-old tradition of hospitality, dating back to the 17th Century, the Age of Rembrandt. We combine a traditional hospitality with modern comfort and service. Hotel Leiden welcomes guests from all over the world, who use the hotel for different reasons: for business or pleasure, to attend an academic conference, or a combination. Many of our guests are frequent visitors.

The hotel is situated just outside the historic city centre of Leiden, and is nearby the beautiful bulbfields, dunes and the beaches. The hotel is within easy reach of the A44 (The Hague - Schiphol Airport - Amsterdam)

Located at the riverside makes this hotel-restaurant unique in Leiden. We have our own mooring place. We can organize special canal trips around the city centre of Leiden.

Your room

The hotel boasts 80 luxury hotel rooms and suites, all elegantly designed to suit the needs of the modern (business) traveler. Spacious, stylish and equipped with all conveniences like a spacious bathroom with (bubble) bath, seperate shower and toilet. All rooms are equipped with a comfortable bed, writing desk, mini refridgerato, TV, telephone, safe, and wireless high-speed Internet access. Most rooms have a balcony on the south with a seat.

Restaurant and bar

At the heart of Restaurant Het Haagsche Schouw is a modern, open kitchen.
The smells emanating from it are sublime, tempting all guests. The waterside patio is the perfect place to unwind when the weather allows.

The traditional design of this monumental building, built in 1629 as an inn to welcome travelers, lends itself perfectly to creating a warm atmosphere ini the hotelbar.

It is great to spend some time with your family, friends or business relations in the Hotel bar with its comfortable seats and fireplace.

Banquet and rooms

Hotel Leiden offers a wide range of modern facilities, including presentation, conference and training rooms. The hotel boasts ten multipurpose meeting suites, with a seating capacity of 4 to 200 people. Four of these rooms-all housed in the historic building- have been turned into stylish and atmospheric boardrooms. All rooms have natural daylight to keep delegates refreshed, as well as ISDN lines and Wi-Fi wireless high speed Internet access. Five multipurpose rooms are available, with a combined capacity of 175 seated and 250 standing guests (or indeed dancing!) You can choose from a wide variety of packages. If your package of choice is not available, we would be more than happy to discuss your requirements. Hotel Leiden offers ample parking space (free). You are also welcome to moore your boat near our hotel!
